Are you brave enough for Fear Fair? This haunted house in Seymour is considered the scariest in the Midwest! It takes place every weekend from September 23 through November 5.
Willkommen! Welcome to the ever-popular Seymour Oktoberfest, to be held September 29 - October 1! Celebrate local German heritage in downtown Seymour with food, biergarten, entertainment, crafters, carnival rides, big parade, hot air balloon race and even the chicken dance!
From October 6-9, you can celebrate the last racing weekend of the season at the 21st annual Funfest at the Brownstown Speedway. Located at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, the race track has a 60-year history of hosting a variety of car classes on its 1/4-mile dirt oval.
The pace is a little slower at Fort Vallonia Days, held October 15-16. Go back to the 1800's with food, music, pioneer crafts, muzzle loader shoots, parade, a persimmon-pudding-eating contest and morethe at historic fort.

Jackson County is located in the rolling hills of south central Indiana and is conveniently traveled by I-65 and US 50. This is the home of the city of Seymour and several unique small towns. We are one hour away from Indianapolis or Louisville and 90 minutes away from Cincinnati.
